Working with cultural partners

The best outcomes when working with cultural partners are secured when relationships are reciprocal and mutually beneficial to all parties. At Cragside primary for example the external music specialist was able to offer experience and expertise whilst in return he gained better understanding about classroom delivery with a cross curricular context. The school engages with a wide range of cultural partners to enable creativity to flourish across the curriculum.

Here are some recommendations with regards to resources from cultural partners:

What are the next steps for Cragside Primary School?

After speaking to the Cragside Primary School team we have created a list of steps that will take them forward.

  • Step out of Shakespeare Schools Festival Project and be more independent.
  • Work towards a platinum Artsmark award by engaging with a range of professionals including Culture Bridge North East.
  • Continue to develop student ownership.
  • Continue to develop an understanding of the creative process and associated creative skills as distinct concepts across the curriculum.
